Our initiatives and impact: Mental Health Awareness Month

Advancing mental health takes all of us

We are fueled by the impact we can make for someone living with mental health conditions.

In May 2025 Lundbeck US came together to observe Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM), a powerful opportunity to live our purpose and help promote advocacy. Throughout the month, we engaged with several organizations to help spark conversations and reduce stigma. As a team, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting acceptance, inclusion, and understanding for those living with mental health conditions.

Be Seen in Green Campaign

This year we proudly participated in Mental Health America’s Be Seen in Green campaign, igniting awareness and inspiring conversations about the importance of mental health. Lundbeck purchased green merchandise from the Mental Health America (MHA) store, directly supporting MHA, which founded Mental Health Awareness Month in 1949, and programs that promote mental health and well-being across the nation.

Our teams donned vibrant “There’s no health without mental health” t-shirts from MHA, sparking conversations and spreading awareness. Selfies and team photos were tagged with #MHAM2025, #AdvancingBrainHealth, and recognized across the US.

Internal Power Hour

We rounded off the month with a special Employee Resource Group (ERG)-hosted Power Hour that acknowledged both MHAM and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. Colleagues came together to dive into the topic of “Respecting Roots: Enhancing Mental Healthcare Through Cultural Understanding.”

Looking Ahead

Through these initiatives, Lundbeck US reinforced the power of empathy, collaboration, and innovation in tackling mental health challenges. Together, we’ve fostered open conversations, driven meaningful change, and strengthened our vision for a future where mental health is prioritized, and patients receive the care they deserve.

As we move forward, let’s keep these important statistics in mind1:

• Nearly 1 in 5 US adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year
• Forty-six percent of Americans will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition at some point in their lives
• Approximately 59.3 million US adults have a mental illness

Together, we stand with passionate advocates and allies—because advancing mental health takes all of us.
