Mental health awareness

Breaking the silence. Changing perceptions

Mental health is a vital part of brain health — essential to a healthy mind and life. Yet it remains underprioritized by leaders, policymakers, and society at large — misunderstood, stigmatized, and too often met with silence.

The numbers tell a stark story. Even though 1 in 8 people globally live with a mental health disorder, less than 5% of global health research funding is directed towards mental health. And on a local level, in most countries, mental health services are guaranteed less than 2% of the national healthcare budget (see sources in our mental health position paper, linked below).

At Lundbeck, we are committed to changing that by raising awareness, supporting those affected, and driving progress toward true parity between mental and physical health.

United against stigma

Stigma remains one of the greatest barriers to treatment and recovery. It silences people, isolates families, and prevents progress. Read more about our mental health position in the article linked below.
